Quotable #18

We were building a huge LEGO house and some of the bottom bricks fell off.
"Hey! It could be our house! The foundation broke!"

I asked Peter to come to the bathroom so I could fix his hair
before church one Sunday morning.
"No, please. I don't want to look handsome on the weekends."

"Milesy Rainier! You are gonna get arrested if
you don't stay where I told you to stay!"

After Luke burped:
"Umm...Mommy?? I fink derr is a goat in my mouf?!"

"Da cat is yooking at me. I fink he's wondering "Who is God and Jesus?"

We saw a man crying outside a store one day. Peter asked why he was crying and Luke responded, "Only people are sad if dey miss der mommies. His mommy is gone I fink."

"I'm not writing. I'm mark checking."

Peter: "Is it an octagon?"
L: "Yes! Dat's it, Mommy, I want the food that has red in it
and is an octopus!"
(He wanted a strawberry pop-tart)

"Mommy, I yove it when Milesy puts his germs on me.
Even his germs are so cutey."

Me: So how does the baby get into a Mommy's tummy?
L: "Umm...you eat it!"
P: "No, Luke! You don't eat a baby. I think it has something to do with...toots?"

Quotable #17

"Mommy! Lukey wasn't being good behavior!"

"I love every single color except black, white, tan, purple, and pink. And that really darkish red...umm...maroon. Yep, I like every one."

"Strin cheese" (string cheese)
"Telivery" (delivery)
"Mewnta Group" (Community Group)
"Unside out" (right side out)

"I love Milesy 10 and I love Mommy...5. That means I love him more than you. But I just can't help it because he is sooooo cute."

(Watching a tv show)
"Were those people in Roseburg?"
"No."
"But they speak our same language!"

He saw a can of tuna and picked it up.

"Mmm...that smells a little...horrible."

"Mommy, when I was sleeping, I hud a sound."
"What was it?"
"It was God."
"Oh, what did God say?"
"He said, 'wake up! You don't have to nap anymoe.'"
"Wow. I didn't know He said that to you. What did you say to Him?"
"Get Jesus off that coss! And come down from Heaven wight now or you're in touble."

We were talking about having babies and naming them. He said he wants to have 3 babies and will name them:
1. Foko
2. Fogo
3. Fingo

"I haf to take yittle dinks. Taking big dinks will hut my feeyings."

We were putting together a puzzle and were missing one piece.
"I know where it is with my nose. I can sniffle it!"

"It's taking for a yong yong time."
(Anytime something lasts longer than about 3 seconds.)

"Mommy! You fahgot to handsome my hair before chuch."

He and Tzeitel (4 years old) love to carry baby Miles with one of them grabbing his arms and the other carrying his legs.

"We're being teamwork!"

Quotable #16

Peter:

"I hope Luke isn't bad today because then he'll get locked in a dingeon and eaten by a dragon and then I won't have anyone to play Paw Patrol with."

He's called Miles "Not Walkie Boy" for months and now that he can stand on his own for a few seconds he's become "Almost Walkie Boy." I think we all know what is coming next. :)

He is so agreeable and easy to please when it comes to most decisions. Frequently, I'll ask him what he'd like for lunch and he'll say, "I'm sure whatever you pick will be fine with me." He says the same about movie choices or clothes to wear or plans for the day.

We were at Costco eating pizza one day and I was picking off the onions and olives from my pizza and Peter was putting them on top of his slice of supreme pizza. As we were discussing how this was kind of opposite of most kids/parents, Peter saw a kid eating cheese pizza.
"Oh no, Mommy! They forgot to put on the rest of his pizza. I bet he's sad. Or maybe it fell off on the floor. It looks like (giggle) naked pizza."

Luke:

We would be driving around town and Luke would yell, "I see tinkle tinkle little stah! Do you see it Mommy?" I was always confused because it was daytime and there weren't any stars out. One day, while stopped at a red light, I finally figured out he was talking about the Carls Jr. logo. He will sometimes ask if we can "dive by tinkle tinkle 43 times pwease".

"My name is spelled P-E-T-R. Dat spells Yuke."

If he feels like I am telling him what to do, he says, "You tant cotrol me! God did not say Mommy cotrol Yukey, he said Yukey tan cotrol hisself and I tant do dat if you are trying to cotrol me."

"Luke, what did you dream about last night?"
"Umm...Mighty Pups. King Yion. Meet Everest."
(It's just a list of DVDs we own. Different movies each day, but always movies.)

"You losed and now you're going to jail. And you'll have a party all by yourself and no one else. And you have to eat food cuz that is jail."

"Tickory tock, da mouse wan up da clock. Da mouse wan
down da clock. Da clock was mad."

"Know what's in my heart, Mommy? Super Yukey muscles!
And broccoli cheese soup."

Quotable: Luke is 3!

Ska-betti (spaghetti)
Babrito (burrito)
Vimanins (vitamins)

I was looking at my phone and said, "Whoa. That's crazy!"
Luke replied from across the room, "What is it? Buffaloes??"

"What is dat Mommy?"
"It's a booger sucker."
"Ooooh! Does it boog suckers?" (pretends to lick a sucker)

Peter was trying to remember the holiday between Halloween and Christmas.
Kory: "It's the one where we eat a lot of turkey."
Luke: "I know, Turkey!"
Me: "No, it starts with Thank..."
Luke: "Turkey!"
Peter: "Thanksgiving!"
Luke: "Aw, shoot it. I missed. Soo...when is turkey?"

The boys walked into the living room while I was watching TV. I told them it was a grown-up show, so it wasn't really made for little kids to watch. Peter turned around and walked backwards so he didn't see the TV and admitted "I saw just a tiny bit but I looked away really fast. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." Luke laid down on his stomach directly in front of the tv, rested his chin on his hands, and studied the tv intently. I asked him what he was doing and he said, "Dis show is bad. I yooove bad!"

Quotable: Peter is 5!

"Why are you curling your hair like that? Is it because you want people to think you're a noodle?"

King DVD (King Dedede)
Outer Space (Heaven)
Swipers (Windshield Wipers)

When we can't understand what Luke is saying to us, Peter replies:
“Oh! I speak brudder really well. Let me tell you what he said.”

"Where did we get Miles? Oh yeah, I remember. DiggityMiles.com"

Miles was crying because he got left alone in the bedroom. Peter said Miles probably thought we left him. I told Miles that we would never leave him and it was ok. Peter replied, "Yeah, Miles, we would never leave you because we don't want to go to jail."
I agreed but said the real reason was because we love him and want to take care of him.
"Well...yeah, but really we don't think jail would be fun and I don't think they have toys there."

"Can you see on your phone when we're gonna die? I'm guessing it's 289 months from today."

"Mommy, this food is really...um...well...good. It tastes kinda differenter."

"Well, today we can't pick peaches cuz it's cloud cloud cloud."

Luke calls everyone a baby so I introduced the boys to Justin Beiber's "Baby" which they both thought was hilarious. Peter will sometimes request we listen to "Baby Baby Baby Oats"

Speaking of baby... :)
On Halloween night, Peter and I were going door-to-door after Kory brought the little boys home to go to bed. At one house, a man left right as we arrived. He kissed the woman goodbye, and said "goodnight, baby." Peter was asking why he was leaving his own house and I told him it was probably his girlfriend's house and he was probably going home to his own house.
"But he called her baby. You have to live with your baby!"

Quotable #15

Peter Bread (pita bread)
Dougly Countas Fair (Douglas County Fair)
Me-rote (remote)
Sushi (Yoshi)
He uses the word confused when he means distracted.
Tisaster (disaster)

"Mommy, I think my brains and legs want to watch a show so can you turn one on for me please?"

We were having Frito Pie for lunch one day and Luke spilled some of his on the floor. Peter was helping him clean it up and said, "Hey Mommy! It used to be Frito Pie but now it's Floor-o Pie!" 1s

Peter knows all his letters but doesn't know how to spell much besides his name and his brothers' names. He does love to try to spell words, though.
"This is my tiger. His name is Jeembo. You spell Jeembo “S-A-T-L-E-A”.

Peter was swatting at the air one day and I asked what he was doing.
"These pieces of skin that fall off me are so clever! I try to hit them in the air and they just fly upwards or downwards or sidewards. They're just too clever for me."

Luke: *something I can't understand*
Me: “You want to eat some shoes?”
L: No, tats tan eat shoes. (cats can)
M: “No they can’t. That’s silly.”
L: Yep, dey tan.
M: “Where did you get that idea?”
L: From Tosto (Costco)

You tant tatch me. I’m da ginger boy!

 Mash Boes (Super Smash Bros)

Ready, set, get ready. And go! And now get ready. Set ready. Go!

If you're on the ground, he's sure to climb on your back and yell,
"Hee-yaw! Piggy up horsey!"

We recently got an Amazon Echo in our kitchen. We mainly use it for playing music, setting timers and asking her for kid jokes. It's not hooked up to any TV's or other devices so it's just a speaker. Luke is pretty convinced it can do anything and I've heard him in the kitchen talking to Alexa several times:

"Yexa! Play Paw Trol."
"Yexa, I want a snack. Nola bar please."
"Yexa, set a timer for 2 minutes." (He thinks this means
he gets to put Peter in a time-out.)

I told the boys to get their pajamas on several times so I warned them there would be consequences if I had to ask them again.
Luke replied excitedly,
"Consekenses?? I yooooove consekenses!!"

"Oh my doodness! Yook at this room. What a mess! Who did dis?"
Spoiler alert: it was his own room and his own mess. I think he thought he could convince me he was innocent with this declaration.
