19 Weeks

How Far Along: 19 Weeks

Food Comparison: Heirloom Tomato (8.5 oz.)

Weight Gain: About 8 pounds

Maternity Clothes: Still in 75% non-maternity clothes. Thinking this is the week to buy some more maternity summer dresses as they are, by far, the most comfortable thing to wear. I also want to be careful not to stretch my non-maternity clothes out so much that they don't fit well post-baby.

Stretch Marks: Nope.

Sleep: It's gotten better actually. I have had quite a few nights this week where I haven't had to get up to go to the bathroom at all and slept all night. I'm still getting my water intake so I am not questioning it and will just enjoy the extra sleep for now.

Best Moment of this week: This has really been both this week and last, but sharing that we found out the gender has been so fun! There is something about sharing great news that makes it even better and can really get you excited!

Miss Anything: Not really. Nothing worth mentioning at least. It's easy to complain during pregnancy and I don't want to be a complainer. This is a fun season and I want to enjoy it!

Movement: Yes! I was sitting on the couch watching TV with Kory and felt something and it hit me, "That's baby moving!" I have been feeling this for a few weeks now and it just never occurred to me that I was feeling movement! I don't know why...I kind of felt silly once I realized what was going on. I wouldn't describe it as fluttering as much as it just kind of feels like a little poke from the inside. It's still pretty infrequent and quick, but I love feeling the movement throughout the day.

Food Cravings: I've been having buttered toast for breakfast every single morning for a few weeks now. I don't know if it's a craving, but it's not something I usually have and it sounds good every day now.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not particularly. I'm still noticing that my bad smell tolerance (B.O. especially!) is dropping quickly, but it doesn't really make me queasy.

Have you started to show yet: Yep. A lady I hadn't seen in several months even asked me if I was pregnant just by looking at me.

Gender: Boy!! We found out last week (on our anniversary!) and it's been really fun to get to say "he" instead of baby or it. I know the obvious next question and, no, we don't have a name yet. There is a strong front runner for one of us but it's not been decided on for sure yet. I will blog soon about that appointment because it was such a cool time for us and I want to remember the details.

Labor signs: Not yet.

Belly button in or out: In. At the rate it's been going, I'd guess I have about another month with it in.

Wedding ring on or off: On and still fitting really well.

Happy or moody most of the time: Happy!

Looking forward to: Starting to look at baby items to create a registry and think about what we want to buy for our little dude.

Surprised by anything: I have noticed that I am walking like a pregnant lady some days and I catch myself with my hand on my stomach pretty often and it all just feels so natural, like I know how to be pregnant or something. I thought I might feel really awkward or like I didn't know how to handle my body changes and it's just not that way at all. There are certainly aspects of pregnancy that blow my mind (like the fact that I have a human life inside of me!) but it just feels like I was made to do this and I feel totally equipped to handle this growing a baby thing. :)
